This Week’s Focus: Systems, Leverage & Leads
We’re two sessions deep into We Were Built For This!, and the momentum is real. Today, we tackled what slows most agents down—not a lack of clients, but a lack of system.
You need more leverage.
Why It Matters
In a shifting market, the top of your funnel has to grow, but the bottom can’t leak. Without the right systems, you’re chasing water with a bucket full of holes.

1. Mindset still leads the way
We opened by revisiting last week’s big truth: happiness, gratitude, and positive environments = better performance. It’s not fluff—it’s neuroscience.
Find awe, name your gratitudes, work out, and protect your energy.
2. Audit your expenses
Yellow-light, green-light every line of your credit card statement. If it’s not driving ROI, it’s dragging you down. Most agents overspend on marketing that doesn’t work and underinvest in what does.
3. Fix your follow-up
Your leads don’t suck—your systems might.
- 90% of agents give up after one contact attempt.
- 70% of those “dead leads” convert within 12 months.
- It takes 18+ touches on average to convert a lead.

4. Automate to dominate
Spreadsheets? Cool. But it’s time to graduate. Command, AI tools, and email/SMS automation are your friends.
Build a system that nurtures leads with local personality, not generic drip.
5. Lead Gen Models that Work
Gary Keller says it best: “Win the morning, win the day.”
Whether you’re cold calling, hosting open houses, or working your sphere:
Time block daily: 90 min lead gen + 90 min follow-up
Focus on top 3 lead sources
Build one rock-solid system before adding more
Your Sphere Deserves Better
Your past clients should hear from you:
- Quarterly calls with value-based conversations
- 2 monthly emails (market updates + personalized insights)
- Home valuation reports (Property Watch or Homebot)
And yes, promo magnets still work. Especially the kind with happy hour deals
The Offer Has to Match the Market
Generic = ignored.
In 2025, make market of the moment offers:
- “Want my list of owner-financed homes under 7% APR?”
- “Need a CMA before summer market spikes?”
- “Looking to cash flow in the French Quarter? I’ve got data.”
People don’t respond to “I’m a Realtor.” They respond to relevance.
